Our History
Founded in 2022, NEW BLAST CO. is co-owned by retired white house chef "Lazy" Larry and former Secretary of Treasury "Startup" Steve. After the Whataburger-fingernail incident of 2012, the two exited their political careers and began a decade long soul search. The two friends reconnected during the 2020 pandemic, their friendship rekindled over a shared love for efficient surface cleaning and preparation. With a shared fire for making a difference in their communities, they decided to launch a business. In November of 2022, NEW BLAST CO. was born!
The company specializes in providing quick and efficient surface cleaning solutions for both residential and commercial applications. Their cutting-edge equipment is the “Dustless Blaster” which utilizes abrasive media and water to efficiently resurface many different substrates. While currently based in Albany, New York, their plans to expand across the east coast are showing no signs of slowing down.
